Gemini Image Auto-Downloader ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users download AI-generated images from Google Gemini (gemini.google.com). We are committed to protecting your privacy.
The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, or user information. Specifically:
— No personal information is collected.
— No browsing data or history is tracked.
— No analytics, telemetry, or usage data is gathered.
— No data is sent to any external server.
— No cookies or tracking technologies are used.
The Extension uses Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) solely to save your preferences (folder path, file prefix, notification toggle, download count). This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted externally.
The Extension requests the following permissions:
downloads — Required to save images to your computer via Chrome's download API.
storage — Required to save your extension preferences locally.
activeTab / tabs — Required to detect when you are on gemini.google.com and to communicate between the popup and the page.
scripting — Required to inject the content script into Gemini pages if it is not already loaded.
Host permission (gemini.google.com) — Required to run the content script that detects generated images on the Gemini page.
The Extension does not use any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs. Images are downloaded directly from Google's servers (googleusercontent.com) using Chrome's built-in download functionality.
The Extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
